HISTORY
The Landing at Fort Harrison is built on the historic site of Fort Harrison named after William Henry Harrison. The Battle of Fort Harrison is considered to be a significant land victory of the United States during the War of 1812.

The Terre Haute Lodge #86 Benevolent & Protective Elks purchased the Fort Harrison property and established a private country club. In 1925, a golf course was constructed overlooking the beautiful Wabash River. A 22,000 square foot club house consisting of a restaurant, lounge, banquet center and 8 lane bowling alley was constructed in 1959 and in 1997 a state of the art swimming pool was installed.

In the summer of 2008, the property was sold to a group of professionals collectively called the Vigo Hospitality Group, LLC. The property has now been named “The Landing at Fort  Harrison”.

MISSION
The purpose in acquiring the property by the Vigo Hospitality Group is to create a mini-resort that offers fun and entertainment. The main goal for The Landing at Fort Harrison is to provide a nexus for a family oriented, safe, relaxing setting to enjoy quality time together, while participating in exciting indoor and outdoor recreation year round. The Landing at Fort Harrison is open to the general public and offers a fully equipped Banquet and Meeting Center, Golf Course, Bowling Alley, Swimming Pool, Arcade, Restaurant and Lounge. The golf course and all the facilities have been completely renovated and brought up to date.

The Landing offers one of the best locations in the Wabash Valley to host weddings, receptions, corporate events, conferences, birthday parties, or any event from small to large. The secluded countryside setting with beautiful landscaping combined with a scenic view of the Wabash River can make any dream a reality.
